The Maritime Fiddlers Associations’ annual spring workshop is this Saturday April 16th in Bible Hill NS. Having attended a workshop previously, I can tell you it’s a very informative and fun day. This year 8 members from our club will be attending.
Tomorrow March 12th, is our spring pot luck supper and jam. Come on out and join us for fun and food. We will have plenty of both.
It seems like spring arrived a few weeks ago with double digit temperatures and not to jinx it but we will have our annual spring potluck supper on March 12. We kick of the fun at 3Pm, play until approx 5, have supper and then play again. It is a great afternoon/evening of fun with family and friends. Come on out and join us at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall.
Another workshop you might find of interest is in Sackville NB on April 23/16. Gordon Stobbe, Stacey Read, and Samatha Robichaud will be instructing. The cost is $50.00 for the day and this includes lunch and evening dance.
The Maritime Fiddlers Association are having their annual Spring Workshop and concert on April 16, 2016 in Truro, NS.
Having gone to this personally myself, I can say it is a great day of instruction and fun. For more information check out this website.
We kicked off the new year this past Tuesday with some new tunes to learn.
Our AGM is January 26th. Hope to see a good turn out for this.
I will be away for a few weeks enjoying some sun so if you need to reach us, send an email and I will get back to you the end of the month.
I’m hoping to get some new videos posted in the next few months.
Well, we are in the downslide to the end of another year. We had our Christmas Potluck on November 28th, and had a great turn out for it. It was wonderful to see so many past members come out and play with us. The food was fantastic as usual and the coconut cream pie divine. We only have one club night and one performance left to wrap up the year. I will see you all back here in the new year and hopefully I can get some new videos posted.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Lunenburg Fiddlers.
It’s been a busy fall so far. We had a ton of fun in Canning at the Fiddlers Fest, meeting with old friends and listening to some great tunes. A great turn out. A big thank you to the Kings Fiddlers for hosting this.
Don’t forget our Christmas Pot Luck on November 28th. Come join us for an afternoon/evening of music and some great food.
This week we had our regular club meeting and played at Ridgewood.
We had a fantastic turn out of members yesterday despite the rain and wind. Also, I think every resident of Ridgewood was at the performance. It was wonderful to see so many out enjoying the music.
A great start to the 2015/16 season…our first meeting on Tuesday night had a good turn out and it was great seeing everyone. A few things were discussed but mainly just playing. Followed that up by playing the next day at the Veterans Unit in Lunenburg. It is always heartwarming to see the smiles and the toe tapping. Our next performance is Sept 17th in Caledonia. We are playing at two different times so come on out and enjoy the music and the fair.
