Introducing The Lunenburg County Fiddlers Club
The Lunenburg County Fiddlers are a fiddle club located on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. They formed in 1988 to gather local musicians together to have fun playing fiddle tunes. They meet in Bridgewater twice a month, not only to provide instruction in fiddle playing, but to also promote East Coast style fiddle music.
In recent years the club has broadened its scope to embrace many variations in fiddle styles and traditions. However, Down East style fiddle music remains their main focus. They are also big promoters of local music talent, and many of their members are not only fiddle players, but music composers as well.
